Privacy Policy

Bet The Line (“we,” “us”) provides daily-fantasy projections, lineup optimizers, and related sports tools at bettheline.app and in our mobile app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

Account information.When you create an account we collect your email address and a securely hashed password (handled by our authentication provider). That’s the only personal detail required to use the site.

Content you provide. If you use the optimizer, bankroll tracker, or league tools, you may upload DraftKings/FanDuel files (lineups, entry/contest history) or connect a public fantasy league. We use this only to produce the output you asked for (lineups, ROI summaries, standings). Some of it is stored only in your browser; account-synced items are stored against your account so they follow you across devices.

Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details — the provider handles payment and tells us only whether your subscription is active.

Usage data. We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to understand which pages are used. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not run third-party ad trackers.

How we use it

To run your account and sign you in; to generate the projections, lineups, and reports you request; to process and maintain your subscription; to keep the service secure (e.g. rate-limiting sign-in attempts); and to improve the product. We do not use your uploaded DFS data for anything other than producing your own results.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of vendors to operate: a hosting/analytics provider (site delivery and aggregate usage), an authentication and database provider (your account and synced data), and a payments provider (subscriptions). They process data only to provide their service to us. We also read public sports data (e.g. DraftKings, ESPN, NASCAR, betting markets) to power projections — that flows to us, not the other way around; no personal data of yours is sent to those sources.

Cookies & local storage

We use a strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser’s local storage to remember preferences and any lineups you save locally. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data retention & your choices

We keep your account data while your account is active. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing us — we’ll remove your account and associated data. You can also clear locally-stored data by clearing your browser/app storage.

Security

Connections are encrypted in transit (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, and access controls limit who can reach your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Children

Bet The Line is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves; we’ll revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app.
